ADVICE

Sooo I have this stupid essay that I have to finish up on the topic ADVICE....

I know right?! What a boring topic BUT I have to do it anyways *no way out* Boohoo


ADVICE

Advice (noun) is a suggestion to a person about what he or she should do. It is basically to seek help. To give advice to anyone almost anything and everything. It could also mean to mentor one by giving guidance regarding social problems for example. Advice is a big word to use as there are many ways to give advice in general. The thing about advice is, it is so much easier to give than receive.

There are the advantages and disadvantages of giving and receiving advice. The advantages of giving advices are that you can make an impact to one's life by just by making a few statements if given the right way. It could change one's perspective in a situation but then again, listening to a one-sided view, one gets to decides to make the choice which is a disadvantage as they could be making the wrong choice by themselves. What I’m trying to say is that one has the power to follow the advice given.

We are given advice from our beloved family, friends, teachers, our idols, strangers and even songs. It is wonderful how one can uphold an advice given from a very young age and still uphold it till an adult.

I read a blog on how this girl upholds his father's words which is "Well, if you give up now, it will give up on you" which simply means never give up.  She holds on to the sentence till now. Simple words like that can be a motivation and inspiration to one self.

I however have live my life with full of advices too. One that I can’t seem to forget is “The price of practise is always cheaper than the feeling of regret”. Let’s just say that a little bird, Robin told me that.

Needless to say, advice need not just be about life in general but it can also be about for example, fashion. An advice I remembered given by the all so famous fashion designer , Coco Chanel, “ Fashion fades, only style remains the same”. My interpretation of that quote is that it meant, fashion changes through different years, decades or eras but one thing that does not change is people and their style. I have a strong believe in this quote therefore I uphold her advice with me as long as I live even though it's about fashion.

Now that I'm a little older, I guess the way I express my feelings are more .....how should I say this...... EXPRESSIVE............... Ok cut all the nick nags Liyana....... FOCUS!

*Takes a deep breathe*

Dear Ayah,

I don't want to sound cliche by saying thank you for everything you've done and all which I am obviously thankful for but there are things I keep inside of me and I thought what a perfect time to say it all in a letter as a father's day gift since it comes by only once a year. Yes as a gift! Since your not fussy at all, a letter which I'll pour my heart out on is worth it than buying gifts.

I know your a man of a few words and I'm a shy human beings so this is tough enough for me to write it all out. We normally keep things to ourselves but how do I start this....

Firstly, your a ROLE MODEL for Abang, Adil and me but especially for my other two annoying siblings since they're gonna be fathers in the future... Well for me, you just set the bar for me to find a terrific husband like you in the future... Mama did a real good job there, I must say. Hahah! Need I remind you all the stuff you did which you probably already know like sending me off to school, remembers to give me $$$ for school, waking us up for school, washing the dishes, constant reminder for us to solat, folding clothes and all that motherly-like stuff. You did a pretty good job and I guess *pssstt*....better than Mama! (Sorry Ma if your seeing this)

I felt sooooooooo blessed that I have a wonderful father every time my friends talked about their fathers.Your a one of a kind father I must say but don't get me wrong, in a good way of course!

You light up the house with your jokes which sometimes can be really hilarious and can also be.....how kids this days says it.... LAME! hahahaha! My friends told me that I'm sooooo fortunate to have you which I already know I am.

I  also know how romantic you can be like berjiwang with classic love songs and wrote the lyrics from them on to the letters you gave mama. Not only that, I remember you were karoking at kakak Nadiah's wedding while giving mama a flower which I am still feeling perplex at how your not shy about it instead being very bold and courageous to have the guts to do that.... Oh goshhhhh! I was the one being shyyy not you! How is it even possible but *applause* to you anyways!


When you were admitted to the hospital, I thought to myself.... What IF your not in the family anymore.... Well, you know what I mean by that..... This house would be a total wreck without you and when nenek comes.... she won't hesitate to nag at us! Nyahahaha! I can only imagine.... This only means one thing....Your the pillar of strength for this family!

I got the best father anyone could have asked for.......

Review on the movie : FLIPPED

My synopsis of the movie: This movie takes place on a scene in 1960s, of a girl, Juli who is swooning over this guy, Bryce since he moved into her neighbourhood.The guy and girl each narrates on their side of the story as the movie goes. She liked him or should I say OBSESSED over him since he moved but somehow..... she gets to know the 'inside' of him or his character so as she thought and not the outside anymore like everyone does this days. Just like a common saying, "Don't judge a book by it's cover". The guy was well aware that the girl was all over him. He doesn't like it, calling it annoying. I can understand why though.... She smelled his hair in class when the guy was sitting in front of her!!! On her side of story, she said his hair smelled like watermelon which is sooooo CUTE  and HILARIOUS though!!! After she thought she knew the inside of him, she began to DISLIKE him after half of her life liking him....... Andddd thenn..... it FLIPPED! Now, he begans to like her....! That's why the movie is called FLIPPED!!!At first, I don't understand why the title of the movie was called flipped but now you and I know why! Soooo WATCH the movieeeee! You'll love it.




My REFLECTION on the movie:

FLIPPED  is such an awesome movie for anyone of any age... About young love which is written simple yet beautiful. I honestly think I can watch the movie like a billion times and won't grew tired of it. Like seriouslyyy, it's one of the best romance movie I've watched since A day to remember by Nicholas Sparks which starred Shane West and Mandy Moore. It's sad how this movie is not as known as some of the other romance movie. It has high ratings though don't get me wrong but I feel that it needs to be more KNOWN and more out there.... I saw the ratings from a webpage that it has 9.6/10 which shows that this movie is good. Well, more then just good... GREAT!  On top of all that, it receive and award for the BEST MOVING PICTURES! Howw  sweeet is that! * applause please*

Now... bout the casts.... OMGoshh! I am kind of swooning over the main character, Bryce (Callan McAuliffe) ! Ok, if you're swooning/ in love/crushing about the person, you'll do all means to stalk him or find more about him... Well, guess what,  I found out that he is of the same age as me, 17 and his birthday date, 24 January is exactly the same as my brother's.... Soooo cool! Well for me at least.... He is an aussie actor who made it to HOLLYWOOD. *so proud of him* He looks kind of young in the movie that's cause the movie is a 2010 film... He looks soo much more handsome and dashingly hot now that his slightly older. He even played in the movie 'I am Number Four'! Dear Callan, I'm flipped because of you!

The other cast I'm dying to talk about is the younger version of Juli in the movie. Sheee is SOOOOO ADORABLE! Just look at the picture! I think she is gonna look pretty when she's older.... Like duhhh! Hahaha!

UPDATE AFTER LONG GONE

Who Am I kidding? No one's gonna actually see my post...  I can understand why though. My post are boring... Well, let me just stop myself there. Don't wanna look like I'm gaining self-pity. But oh well, have not blogged after a long time seems like eternity. Gosh! I had 6 essays for Social Studies that I have to finish. Currently on my 4th. Teachers should get fine or something for making students stressed out and having pimples growing on our faces. Well partly, not their fault. It's the adolescence age but whatever I'm going totally off topic.... Now listening: Lemonade Mouth- Determinate. Their songs RAWKZzzzzz! Apparently, they are not exactly a real band. Just for a show on Disney Channel.

Ok.... I'm kind of getting off topic again but I just have to say this. YouTube ads are so freaking annoying! Like who would actually  press on the videos for the ads. People just wanna watch the freaking videos that they've pressed on. Now listening : If this was a movie-Taylor Swift. Current obsession on the song. Taylor Swift songs are soooooooo True and relatable to many people. Her music speaks to people. That's why everyone LOVES her of course including me! 

Oh my goshhh! I almost got cheated by an E bay seller!!! I bought PosieTint by Benefit for $10. It's a freaking steal! In stores, that item would have easily cost $ 60!!!!  Yes MAKE UP! What the seller did was that she did not reply to my messages after I paid and trusted her with my money. Not only that, I knew something fishy was happening when her other items were gone. I took a leap of faith and send her a message saying that I will report the matter if she did not reply me and of course she replied back being afraid and threatened. I know it's only 10 bucks but it's still moneyyy! All this for a $10 makeup product. It's worth it! 


Asians are not really that fond of makeup like how the westerners are. Now at 17, I'm still wearing minimal make up and trying to look natural and all but the westerners at 17 looks so mature with 6 inch high heels, lipgloss or even a red lipstick on. Not that I have anything against them.... It's just the reality and how different society behaves. I'm still trying to walk on wedges at 17 for god's sake. It's really bad.....Not to mention AWKWARD.... GOShhh! It's like.... I have to tip- toe on them... told you it's bad! But I'll laugh it off anyways....Hahahahha! AWKWARD/ EMBARRASSING moments which I encounter which I will write it on another post. I would seriously have to write a full essay on it.... That shows the amount of embarrassment I had gone through... It's really terrible! See ya later Alligatorr*****
